ReliaHub Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 12, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between ReliaTax Group LLC ("ReliaTax Group," "we," "us," or "our") and the individual or entity that accesses or uses ReliaHub ("Customer," "you," or "your"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, clicking to accept, or using ReliaHub, you agree to these Terms.
IMPORTANT: SECTION 22 REQUIRES BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND INCLUDES A CLASS-ACTION WAIVER. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY.
1. Eligibility and Authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use ReliaHub for a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
ReliaHub is intended for U.S. tax professionals and small U.S. tax offices. One ReliaHub account represents one tax business. ReliaHub does not support multiple unrelated businesses within one account.
2. The ReliaHub Service
ReliaHub is a cloud-based client workflow platform that may include:
- a structured public starter website;
- contact, intake, booking, and secure document-upload workflows;
- client and case records;
- notes, tasks, document statuses, and payment-status tracking;
- Google Calendar-connected scheduling using one selected business calendar;
- rule-based follow-up reminders;
- AJ-generated drafts for user review;
- outbound email through Resend;
- optional SMS services for Power accounts;
- optional Stripe Connect features for Power accounts; and
- analytics, storage, security, export, and administration tools.
ReliaHub is separate from tax preparation software. ReliaHub does not prepare, calculate, file, transmit, review, or approve tax returns and does not provide tax, legal, accounting, cybersecurity, or regulatory advice.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate registration and business information;
- maintaining the confidentiality of credentials and recovery methods;
- enabling and maintaining required multi-factor authentication;
- ensuring each authorized user has an individual login;
- assigning appropriate permissions;
- removing users who no longer need access;
- securing devices and networks used to access ReliaHub; and
- promptly notifying support@reliahub.com of suspected unauthorized access.
You may not share credentials, bypass security controls, or allow unauthorized people to access ReliaHub. You are responsible for activity under your account except to the extent caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law.
4. Plans and Features
4.1 Basic
Basic is priced at $49 per month or $490 per year, unless a different price is displayed at purchase. Basic includes one owner user, up to 249 stored client records, 100 GB of included storage, a 100 MB maximum file size, and the Basic features described in the current plan page.
4.2 Power
Power is priced at $79 per month or $790 per year, unless a different price is displayed at purchase. Power includes one owner plus one assistant or additional tax-pro user, up to 1,200 stored client records, 500 GB of included storage, a 250 MB maximum file size, and Power features such as custom domains, removal of ReliaHub branding, optional SMS, Stripe Connect, SEO controls, and other features described in the current plan page.
Both plans may use either of ReliaHub's two public-site templates. Templates do not change core functionality.
4.3 Limits and Add-Ons
Client caps count all stored client records, including completed clients. Storage and file-size limits are enforced. If a limit is reached, new uploads or records may be blocked until you delete eligible data, upgrade, or purchase an available add-on.
Current add-on pricing and included quantities are shown at purchase and may change prospectively. SMS usage and certain third-party charges are billed separately where applicable.
5. Subscription Billing, Renewal, Refunds, and Taxes
Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual term until canceled. You authorize us and our payment provider to charge the payment method on file for subscription fees, add-ons, usage charges, taxes, and other disclosed amounts.
Fees are nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly stated in writing by ReliaTax Group. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused features, unused storage, client-count capacity, or early cancellation.
You are responsible for applicable taxes other than taxes based on our net income. We may change prices with advance notice. Price changes ordinarily apply at the next renewal unless otherwise stated.
6. Cancellation, Grace Period, Suspension, and Data Export
You may cancel through account settings or another method we provide. Cancellation stops future renewal and becomes effective at the end of the already-paid billing period. You retain paid access until that period ends unless the account is suspended for breach, security, or legal reasons.
If payment fails, we may provide a 7-day grace period. After the grace period, the account may become Suspended.
During Suspended status:
- the public site becomes information-only;
- intake, booking, document collection, reminders, AJ, and active sending features are disabled;
- files become read-only; and
- export remains available for 14 days.
After 14 days in Suspended status, the account moves to Canceled status. During Canceled status, export remains available for an additional 90 days. After that period, data may be permanently deleted in accordance with our retention policy and legal obligations.
You are responsible for exporting information you are required to preserve. Reactivation may be available before deletion, subject to payment of amounts due and then-current requirements.
7. Customer Content and Client Data
"Customer Content" means information, documents, text, images, records, settings, and other material submitted to or stored in ReliaHub by or for you, including client information.
As between you and ReliaTax Group, you retain ownership of Customer Content. You grant us a limited, nonexclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, secure, back up, and display Customer Content only as needed to provide, protect, support, and improve ReliaHub and comply with law.
You represent and warrant that:
- you have all rights, permissions, notices, and consents necessary to collect, upload, use, and instruct us to process Customer Content;
- your use of Customer Content complies with law and professional obligations;
- you will collect only information reasonably necessary for your services;
- you will not use ReliaHub to unlawfully disclose or exploit taxpayer information; and
- you will respond appropriately to verified requests from your clients concerning their information.
ReliaHub is a service provider to tax professionals for client workflow data. You control the client relationship and determine the purposes for which client information is collected.
8. Client-Facing Forms, Upload Links, and Verification
Clients do not create ReliaHub accounts. You are responsible for the content and lawful use of your public pages and forms.
Public intake links may be shared publicly. Client-specific additional-document links may be sent only to the intended recipient and may not be publicly posted, reused for another client, or used to circumvent verification. Additional-document uploads require the client to verify the email address or phone number associated with the record.
You must promptly revoke a link that may have been misdirected, exposed, or compromised.
9. Communications, Resend, and AJ Drafts
ReliaHub uses Resend or another provider through a provider-neutral adapter to deliver outbound email. ReliaHub does not read, search, or synchronize your email inbox. You are responsible for maintaining accurate sender and reply-to information and reviewing the recipient, subject, content, and attachments before sending.
AJ is a constrained drafting and workflow tool. AJ may draft emails, SMS messages, summaries, reminders, and next-step suggestions. AJ:
- does not automatically send messages;
- does not read uploaded document contents;
- is not a tax, legal, accounting, or compliance professional; and
- may generate inaccurate or incomplete output.
You must review and approve all AJ output before use and remain responsible for any communication sent.
10. SMS Services
SMS is optional and may be available only on Power accounts. SMS usage and carrier or registration fees may be billed separately.
You are solely responsible for:
- obtaining valid consent before sending SMS;
- using separate consent language on applicable forms;
- keeping records of consent;
- honoring STOP and other opt-out requests;
- complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, carrier rules, registration requirements, and other applicable laws; and
- avoiding unrelated promotional messages unless separately permitted.
We may suspend SMS functionality if we reasonably believe messaging is unlawful, abusive, misleading, or likely to harm deliverability or our providers.
11. Google Calendar
ReliaHub may connect to one Google account and one selected business calendar. ReliaHub uses the selected calendar to display availability and create or update appointments as configured.
ReliaHub does not guarantee that other calendars, personal commitments, or external changes will prevent conflicts. You are responsible for maintaining accurate availability on the selected calendar. Clients may request cancellation or rescheduling, but the request does not alter the calendar until you approve and update it.
Google services are third-party services governed by Google's terms and policies.
12. Stripe Connect and Client Payments
Power users may connect their own Stripe account through Stripe Connect for cash-paying clients. The tax professional, not ReliaHub, is the seller and merchant of record for tax-preparation services. ReliaHub does not control, receive, hold, or manage the tax professional's client funds except for technical facilitation and status display as described in the service.
Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's terms, fees, verification, reserves, disputes, chargebacks, and compliance requirements. ReliaHub is not responsible for Stripe decisions or for disputes between you and your clients.
Basic users may manually track Payment Due, Paid, and Not Required statuses. A manual status does not process or confirm payment.
13. Public Sites, Domains, and Content
ReliaHub public sites are structured starter sites, not unrestricted website builders. You are responsible for all business names, claims, service descriptions, prices, disclaimers, contact information, privacy notices, terms, social links, and other content you publish.
You may not publish content that is deceptive, unlawful, infringing, defamatory, discriminatory, malicious, or likely to harm ReliaHub or others.
Power users may connect a custom domain. You are responsible for domain ownership, registration fees, DNS access, renewal, and lawful use. We may disable a domain connection that creates security, abuse, or legal risk.
14. Security Setup and Customer Safeguards
Before activating intake and document collection, you must complete required ReliaHub Security Setup controls. The setup addresses use of ReliaHub only and does not replace your complete written information security plan or other obligations.
You are responsible for safeguarding downloaded and exported information, securing devices and networks, maintaining appropriate staff training, and complying with the safeguards applicable to your practice.
15. Document Retention and Deletion
A document related to a case is scheduled for deletion five years after the case is marked Completed. If no case exists, the document is scheduled for deletion five years after upload. ReliaHub may send warnings at 1 year, 90 days, 60 days, 30 days, 15 days, and 7 days before scheduled deletion.
You are responsible for reviewing warnings and exporting records you must retain. Permanent deletion may not be reversible. We may retain limited information longer where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.
16. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- use ReliaHub for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful activity;
- access or attempt to access another customer's data;
- upload malware, malicious code, or prohibited content;
- probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without written authorization;
- bypass authentication, limits, permissions, billing, or security controls;
- interfere with service availability or integrity;
- scrape, copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit ReliaHub except as expressly allowed;
- use ReliaHub to send spam, unlawful SMS, or unsolicited commercial messages;
- upload information you are not authorized to process;
- use AJ output without review where doing so could mislead or harm a person; or
- use ReliaHub to prepare, calculate, file, or transmit tax returns.
We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary.
17. Intellectual Property
ReliaHub, including software, interfaces, workflows, designs, documentation, trademarks, logos, and non-customer content, is owned by ReliaTax Group or its licensors and protected by law. Except for the limited right to use the service during an active subscription, no rights are transferred to you.
You may not use ReliaHub trademarks or branding without permission. Basic public sites must display required ReliaHub branding. Power users may remove that branding where the feature is available.
18. Feedback
If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use and incorporate them without obligation or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of your Customer Content.
19. Third-Party Services
ReliaHub depends on third-party services, including hosting, storage, authentication, email, SMS, calendars, domains, analytics, and payments. Third-party services may change, suspend, or discontinue functionality. Your use of them may be subject to separate terms.
We are not responsible for third-party acts, outages, account restrictions, fees, or policy changes beyond our reasonable control. We may substitute providers through our adapter architecture where practical.
20. Service Changes, Availability, and Beta Features
We may modify, improve, limit, or discontinue features. We will provide reasonable notice of material reductions to paid core functionality when practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure service.
Beta, preview, or experimental features may be incomplete and may change or end without notice. They are provided as-is.
21. Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnity
21.1 Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RELIAHUB IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." RELIATAX GROUP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
RELIAHUB DOES NOT PROVIDE TAX, LEGAL, ACCOUNTING, CYBERSECURITY, OR COMPLIANCE ADVICE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS, COMMUNICATIONS, CONSENTS, RECORDS, SECURITY PROGRAM, AND LEGAL OBLIGATIONS.
21.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RELIATAX GROUP AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO RELIAHUB OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO RELIATAX GROUP FOR RELIAHUB DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited.
21.3 Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ReliaTax Group and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your Customer Content, professional services, communications, violation of law, misuse of ReliaHub, or breach of these Terms.
22. Binding Individual Arbitration and Class-Action Waiver
22.1 Informal Resolution First
Before filing arbitration, the claimant must send a written Notice of Dispute describing the claimant, the facts, the legal basis, and the requested relief. Notices to ReliaTax Group must be sent to legal@reliahub.com and by mail to ReliaTax Group LLC, 24333 Southfield Rd, Southfield, MI 48075. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute for 30 days after receipt.
22.2 Agreement to Arbitrate
Except for the exclusions below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to ReliaHub, these Terms, or the relationship between the parties will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this Section.
Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Commercial Arbitration Rules or Consumer Arbitration Rules, depending on the nature of the dispute, as modified by these Terms. The arbitration may occur by video, telephone, documents-only proceeding, or in person as the arbitrator permits. The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies available in court, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
22.3 Class-Action and Jury-Trial Waiver
YOU AND RELIATAX GROUP AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF, CLASS MEMBER, OR REPRESENTATIVE IN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, MASS, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE CLAIMS OR PRESIDE OVER ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, MASS, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING UNLESS BOTH PARTIES AGREE IN WRITING.
TO THE EXTENT A CLAIM IS PERMITTED TO PROCEED IN COURT, YOU AND RELIATAX GROUP WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
22.4 Exclusions
Either party may:
- bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court;
- seek temporary or emergency injunctive relief in court to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, intellectual-property infringement, or imminent security harm; or
- file a complaint with a government agency where the law permits.
22.5 Fees and Location
Arbitration fees will be allocated under the applicable AAA rules and law. For customers using ReliaHub primarily for business purposes, the arbitration will be conducted in Oakland County, Michigan, unless the parties agree otherwise or the arbitrator permits remote proceedings. For any consumer dispute, location and fee rules required by applicable law will apply.
22.6 Severability
If a court or arbitrator finds part of this Section unenforceable, the remainder will remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim or remedy, that claim or remedy must proceed in court after all arbitrable claims are resolved.
23. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 22.
For disputes not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
24. Termination
You may stop using ReliaHub at any time, subject to subscription and retention terms. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create security or legal risk, misuse the service, or if required by law.
Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. We may act immediately where necessary to protect security, customer information, service integrity, or legal compliance.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, dispute resolution, and retention provisions.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, email, or another method. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using ReliaHub and cancel before the new terms take effect.
26. General Terms
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable order forms, plan disclosures, and incorporated policies are the entire agreement regarding ReliaHub and replace prior agreements on the same subject.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Headings are for convenience. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains effective. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, except payment obligations.
